Megan's By The Green, Fulham
There's a new Insta-worthy brunch spot in south west London, well, Parsons Green to be precise. Megan's by the Green is a cosy looking restaurant, right opposite PG tube station, with an impressive canopy of blossom and fairy lights dangling above the heads of the eager brunch goers below. This place screams romance, just look at it!
Megan's by the Green follows in the footsteps of its sister restaurant on the King's Road, who's been serving up the finest Eggs Benedict to local sloanies since 2002.
I'm a sucker for twinkling lights (just ask my long suffering husband), most of our rooms at home feature them in some varying capacity - bannisters, hurricane jars and mirrors - you name it, I've probably blitzed it with miniature white lights! so, naturally, Megan's immediately caught my eye when it first switched on its lights in October.
The menu offers all of the daytime favourites from Eggs Royale to porridge and the super trendy brunch staple, smashed avocado on toast topped with omega seeds and chilli.
Megan's serves organic, rainforest alliance and fair-trade coffee. The flat white was a frothy good'un!
Aside from brunch, both of the Megan's restaurants offer fresh salad bars at lunch and Mediterranean-inspired dishes of grilled fish (cooked over lava coal rocks, no less!) and antipasti sharing boards in the evening.
Check out my post on another one of my favourite brunch spots just across the river at Pear Tree Café. It's one of London's best kept secrets tucked away in the park!
Megan's by the Green is open daily and operates a no bookings policy during the day. Be quick though, it's very popular!
