Dining at Delaire Graff, South Africa

If you're taking advantage of the Cape Winelands wine route, be sure to stop at the Delaire Graff Wine Estate, nestled between majestic mountains and lush vineyards. It's one of South Africa's finest vineyards in Stellenbosch and was acquired by Diamantaire and visionary Laurence Graff in 2003.

The estate is a destination for some of the world's most desirable art, hospitality and wine. We had previously enjoyed the wine-tasting experience but when we returned to South Africa with my family in tow, Delaire Graff was top of the list for our very first lunch on South African soil and with panoramic views of the valley on offer, who'd blame us?!

As we took to our table on the restaurant's wooden veranda perfectly shaded from the midday heat, we were quick to order a bottle of Delaire Graff Cabernet Franc Rosé to accompany our delicious starters.

Adrian opted for half a dozen oysters fresh from the cool waters of the Cape's west coast.

We toasted our impending nuptials ( we are here for a wedding after all!) just as the restaurant manager presented us with a card and cupcake from the Delaire team to wish us the best of luck. Such a nice touch!
